1. Cornflake.com is an email, FTP and web page host for family and friends only.  It is a small but firm operation run by Martin Thompson, the webmaster of 3 domains... namely cornflake.com, chanson.us, 2ning.net and alaskaroad.com.
   
   
2. I will be glad to help you with your email setup needs.  If you need help understanding web page design and processes, I can help you get started on that too.
   
   
3. Membership is by invitation only.  I want to keep this small and workable.  Email is free.  FTP storage up to 10mb is free for now.  It just depends on how much interest there is in the service and how much space is available.  If I need to expand the hard drives, I'll need to figure that out at that point.  Web hosting is free for basic cornflake.com domain usage.  If you need a huge amount of space though, we'll have to talk.
   
   
4. Cornflake.com email can be accessed through your web browser by using my own web mail server webmail.cornflake.com.  Just  put in your user name and password and you have your mail. 
   
   
5. Personally, I am not interested in web page design.  I can upload a little something for you but it will be basic; it's just to get you started so you can see that it's there waiting for you.  You really need to be in charge of your own design and updates.  I will set up the necessary FTP (file transfer protocol) files for you so you can access that page at will, of course.
   
   
6. I only wish to offer this to those interested in keeping a clean and safe place to run their stuff and who also want a working/learning relationship with the webmaster/postmaster.
   
   
7. I can host your personal domain as well but the costs of registration and DNS services  will be passed on to you.  Domain registration runs about $35.00 a year depending on the deal; there are a few offers out there.  The DNS service varies depending on what you want.  It's about $11.00 a year for each service needed, for instance email backup, website backup, site forwarding etc.  These are costs I have to pay.  I also charge a little bit myself to keep the web running.  The average cost of web hosting right now is about $15.00 a month and about $20.00 to set up.  If you miss payment, your site is trashed immediately.  I charge $5.00 a month and $10.00 for set up.  If you miss a payment, I leave your site up until we can figure something out.  Things happen.
   
   
8. This whole operation is for fun!  It is NOT a business.  It is not meant for running a business either.  If you are interested in running a business on the internet of some sort, you need to find other professional services.  I am not interested in the traffic or headaches of running email, FTP or web hosting for business purposes.
